Lock-down
“Lockdown at home”
By:Kalisi
Everyone was in lockdown because people were getting sick with a virus, called Coronavirus or Covid 19. At the end of March, 2020, the New Zealand Government told people to follow the rules to keep everyone safe. They hoped that being in lockdown would stop the sickness that people kept getting.
Most people stayed at home, but others like nurses went to work to help the sick people in need. Some other people didn’t care about the virus. There were people in the hospital with the virus, there were people who recovered from the virus and some people sadly died from it.
The virus was spreading fast and people were scared. Some people were just silly and broke the rules by driving or walking around where they were not allowed to be. The virus was bad and people were all sad for their loved ones who died from it.
There were different levels of lockdown and slowly New Zealand is getting back to normal.
